Conroy has been moving Australians back and forth across the ditch for decades. In 1999, we knew it was time to open a local branch. Starting out in Brisbane with four trucks and a storage facility, Conroy became true Australian removalists offering a full suite of removal services to private, corporate, government and trade clients.
Having roots in Conroy NZ, we took what we’d learned and applied it to the Australian market. That was a passion to do things right, to learn from the mistakes we had made and become a high quality operator. For our customers, that meant doing good work for a fair dollar.
Our Commitment to the Australian Removals Industry
Doing good work is only half the job. We’ve also dedicated to improving standards in the removalist industry across the country. We have held and currently hold positions on the board of the two industry associations: Australian International Movers Association (AIMA) and Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA).

FIDI Global Alliance (FIDI)
FIDI is the global alliance of professional international moving and relocation companies, specialised in moving household goods and personal effects from one country to another, from one continent to another, according to the best quality standards.
We are accredited with the quality standard FAIM (FIDI Accredited International Mover). It is the only quality standard for international moving and relocation industry, recognised worldwide.
International Association of Movers (IAM)
IAM is the moving and forwarding industry's largest global trade association. With more than 2,000 members, it comprises companies that provide moving, forwarding, shipping, logistics, and related services in more than 170 countries.
We are accredited with the innovative designation as an IAMTrusted Moving Company constructed to enhance the integrity of IAM members.
British Association of Removers (BAR)
BAR is based in the UK and is dedicated to promoting excellence in the Removals Industry for the benefit of its members and customers. It represents over 500 of the UK’s leading professional removal and storage companies.
Pan American International Movers Association (PAIMA)
PAIMA is an exclusive association that represents member companies from the Americas and other key areas of the world.
Euromovers
Euromovers is a network of over 70 experienced and reliable moving companies located throughout Europe, United Kingdom, United States, Australasia, The Russian Federation, China and numerous other contries.
Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA)
AFRA is an official body of removals experts that help regulate the Australian removals industry. For the public AFRA is the vehicle that offers protection and guidance. For its members AFRA offer training, information, guidance and keeps us up to date with the latest legal and industrial changes.
Australian International Movers Association (AIMA)
AIMA was established in 1975 as a professional forum for the international removal industry, within the framework of which its members work towards continuous improvement of the industry's standards and service provided to the public.
